Promised to show my post-surgery photos but have been procrastinating to do so. Here goes:

First (or is it second) day of post op. The swell was
really bad. Charred lips and all due to lack of moisture. That thing around my neck is a diaper, smartly used as a bib to hold my salivia. Am constantly salivating due to numbness around my lips area.

I think this photo was taken 1 week odd post-opt. I got really sick of that bib around my neck (its hot sticky and all) that I decided to turn it into a mask. A whole lot more convenient!

This photo was taken 2 weeks post-op, in my dad's car. Swelling has gone down a whole lot by then, though the swell on the right cheek is still pretty visible. The numbeness around the lips area still pretty much remains. Which is why I still look weird.

My first attempt to smile! weeeeeiiiirddd.
And this is how I look like
now!

yiiipeeee :)

Today was The Day for the NTU Girls. Went to attend their convocation ceremony and it was a mix of feelings for me. Was really happy for them, yet at the same time, the sight of their families and bfs was a stark reminder of my own convocation; that my mum, among my closest ones, was the only person who saw me onstage. And the fact was that though I didnt seem to mind too much about that, I really
do.
Like a sword into my heart, the realization hit me swift and sharp. You feel a sudden tightness in your throat, your vision stars to blur and you had to inhale sharply, to breathe, properly. You gotta grab your fists together, tightly, to keep a grip on yourself because if you dare to slacken your control even for a second, all emotions might burst out like the flood gates opened.
It didnt help that no one knew how I was feeling (or I had concealed it too well).
Somehow when they needed me, I was there. But when it came to me needing them, nobody was really ard. It was possible that I didn't show I needed them, or maybe, possibly, they were just didn't think they need to be ard.
I have no answer for that.

My girls and I have been termed the
Self-Enclosed Ecosystem by some I-Shall-Not-Speak-Who people. Not exactly a very nice name to be called just because we don't really mix around with the bulk of them. Yes, we are on friendly terms with some of them but really, to go on an overseas trip or to pop by and pretend we have been awesome friends for 10 years is just beyond us.
The fellow who tipped us off thought we were offended. Well we
were. Said that he and his group didn't mean it in a bad way and I was rolling my eyes at that. It's like how we know "nerd" isn't a negatively-connoted word in definition but we just get that bad impression when the word is used.
Or is that the difference between the mentalities between the two sexes.

Finally borrowed Half-blood Prince and Deadly Hallows frm MP! The part about Ginny being a hot babe kinda turned me off a bit.. Memories of Ginny still stayed at Chamber of Secrets when she had small eyes and tons of freckles. Did a search on Google to see if she has really grown up.
http://www.virginmedia.com/microsites/movies/slideshow/potter-premiere/img_3.jpgGot the shock of the day. Emma Watsons wins hands-down (extra points for being a smart girl too! MP said she got into Yale. WOW)

I totally refused to read the part about Dumbledore's death. Too heart-wrenching.

Jaw is recovering perfectly well. I am still feeling weird looking into the mirror.
