Meeting with Director sparked further (but expected) disappointment. More of our ppl are going to be posted out which means the dept will be less lively and possibly.. more quiet. In fact, it's getting quieter nowadays after RT has left and Wuwu seems less inclined to fool around with us without his partner-in-crime around (although he still does hump my chair daily).
If I ever have to leave this place (*sobs*), I am so going to miss the company here.
Work is getting busier. I am totally not complaining about that. Best to work me dry while I am young and "enthusiastic".
Family is getting irritating. The sight of some just irritate me so much that I don't even feel like coming home. Still that sentence: I am not compassionate enough to save someone who deserves to fall (adding that people have forewarned you countless times).

Ironically, work makes one seems poorer in the pockets. So when one chances upon cheap and gorgeous food, it is almost like a god-sent gift.
Italian food at B1 of City Square Mall (the one at Little India). Empty (I suspect its because of the location of City Square Mall), free flow drinks, food below $10 at a restaurant-styled!

Scallops at ard $4? Real cheap but I thought cheese and tomato didnt go down very well with scallops. Think the garlic-butter seasoning will be better. Anyways, scallops are not particularly my cup of tea.

Al Fungi mushroom pasta at $6?! Has got to be one of the best Al Fungi mushrooms I have ever tasted. Amt of cream added is just nice.

Steak at $7/$8?! Diiiirrrrt cheap!

This has got to be my favourite after the pasta. Spicy drumlets!! A bit too peppery though its still great stuffs. Wins hands-down if you compare with the Pizza Hut's drumlets.
Itacho Sushi at Ion Orchard, same level as MRT station. Promotions can make prices of sushi go as low as $0.40 per piece!! And they have the freshest sashimi ard.
Shrimp Tempura Sushi at $1.80 each. A bit pricey but well-worth for the taste. Itacho doesn't try to cheat you of the prawn by replacing it with mini shrimps.

Grilled Pork Sushi at $1.00 each. BFF swears by this.

Salmon with Soy Sauce at $0.40 each (original price $0.80 each). I swear by this.

Inari Spicy Salmon Sushi at $0.70 each. I love the beancurd skin (Itacho did theirs in a crisper manner) but the salmon can get a bit fishy if you have too much of it.
Lobster Mango Sushi at $2.10 each. Unique but too pricey to do a second try. They had wasabii together with the lobster (yucks).

Salmon Sashimi Sushi at $1.20 each. The first time I was at Itacho, this sushi was going at $0.60 each (limited to 6 pieces per person). My friends and I max-ed the cap, ordering 36 of it. That tells you how good this is.
Great food makes me a happy girl :)

I knew he was
gg to post me something for the upcoming
Vday and
anniversary but I didn't expect it to be this. Pieces of cardboard, someone used to call them before. But for my boy who tend to see all things in their monetary values to be willing to spend time and effort, tenderly, patiently cutting, sticking and arranging the cards, the present was of the greatest significance ever. A material present could have been much more useful, but love was never about usefulness.
News of the department downsizing have been confirmed.
Wuwu is next to go after RT and already, I am starting to miss him (despite his daily sexual
harassment). Office will be less fun without him, the joker,
ard.
Just another of my random thoughts again: I am appalled to find that there are people out there who do not lock their
FB profile or Twitter thread. I had assumed that as proficient new media users ourselves, it should be "commonsensical" for us to know that there is no such thing as "privacy" on the net. Particularly when you are bitching about your boss, and your Twitter thread comes up as the first result when someone
googles your name.

It's funny how I like to blog only when I am down. Seems like it never occurred to me that I needed to blog during happy moments - you just want to enjoy those times, while for those sad periods, you just want to wallow in depression and reminisce the agony by writing everything out.
I deleted my old blog close to a month ago. But that does not mean I have forgive and forget. Shall not try to be a saint here by pretending as if everything was passe and self-comforting that I was not the least affected by it. Vengeance still remains and if there comes an opportunity I can ruin these people, I will not spare them.
Onto happier matters:
My colleagues have this fantastic habit of pranking one another. So the month of December last year was an excellent opportunity for those fellas' to display their creativity.

Had this on my table while I was away in UK. Almost died of shock when I thought they glued this down to the table.

Another colleague had his keyboard and mouse "paperlised". Part of the office's "saving gaia" efforts, they call it.

This other colleague had his laptop replaced with a fan.

And when one of our colleagues switched departments, they enacted a "tombstone" at his desk to mourn our loss.

Chinese version one too!
Hilarious, at times overboard, jokes though, but they remind you that you are really just 24(and not like 34?). Youth should not be spent buried within tons of papers and emails, ending work in wee hours and reaching home only to sleep and wake up again in the morning to continue the vicious cycle.
We deserve laughter and joy.
